Ladies and Gentlemen of the camping world,

In conjunction with FraggedNation, we are proud to announce the creation of the newest gaming league around - and we bring you back to the old gaming era of camping... one that's been slightly forgotten about underneath all the mods and server actors we all know too well in this gamestyle.

We present the OLD SCHOOL CAMPING LADDER!

This particular ladder is designed to bring back the good ol' sniper/camper days where people didn't bitch about no run mods, or have to worry about the omg-lets-move-four-spaces-and-lose-a-frag" mods, or even the maps that could span 40 football fields! (okay, I may have exagg'd on that last one, but you get the idea.) This ladder is bringing the game back to the start where all there was on the server was a good old cheat protection, a rifle, bullets dotted wherever you need 'em and some good ol' classic sniper map knowledge. Old school... at its' finest.

We're getting this ladder publicised as much as we can in order to get this up and running as soon as we can so we can restore the fun back into a gamestyle that's had its fair share of gripes recently - and we'd like YOUR CLAN to be a part of this! If you're interested in becoming a part of this all we'd like you to do is the following!

1> Get yourself an account on FraggedNation - you can do this right here if you haven't done so already.
2> If you haven't got a team ready then you can sign one up! Just go through the following:

--- In "Ladder Memberships" go through the Ladder Joining Wizard
--- Click on the Unreal Tournament sleeve graphic
--- From there click OLD SCHOOL CAMPING LADDER (you won't need a password to join.)
--- Set up your team accordingly! (Note : you can have up to FOUR captains on your teams.)

3> Get ready for some fragging action!


Once everything has been gathered server wise we'll be looking to get a selection of "old school" maps up for play. This is where the respective clans can help us out here to enable us to get a great response on what maps you'd want in this ladder! We'd like you to come up with a list of up to 20 maps that you'd consider to be "old-school" and from this we'll get these whittled down to an agreed number that are acceptable to all. Once we've got these into play then we can get this part started - and the bullets can start flying!

Once you have the list available we kindly would like you to post these map lists in the forum that's in the OSCL ladder (just click on "Forums" at the Ladder Menu if you check the standings) or just pay us a visit over at the [DoC] forums. We'll also get everything thrashed out regarding the league in a TS meeting that would be hosted on [DoC] TeamSpeak on Fri 08 Feb @ 20:00 UK (2100 EUR, 1500 EST) - all we need from there is the bullets, the rifles and the marshmallows.

Don't forget to bring yourselves and a few body bags now, huh?
